A recent study conducted by researchers at the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University in China aimed to analyze the knowledge structure and thematic trends of non-surgical treatments for intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) using bibliometric analysis. The study found that publications on non-surgical treatment for IDD have been increasing annually, with China and the United States being the dominant contributors. The research identified mesenchymal stem cells, exosomes, medication, and tissue engineering as the current research hotspots in this field.
