Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Baylor University College of Medicine in Houston, Texas compared the visualization performance of different liquid embolic agents (LEAs) used in neurovascular embolization procedures. The researchers designed an injectable angiographic phantom and analyzed the radiopacity of eight different LEAs. They found that Omnipaque 300 and NBCA had the highest contrast resolution (CR), while PHIL 25 had the lowest CR. The study concluded that there are significant differences in CR between LEAs and iodinated contrast media, which should be considered before injection. This research has been peer-reviewed and published in Interventional Neuroradiology. [Extracted from the article]
