This article presents the findings of a study conducted in Italy to evaluate the performance of different ultrasound-based prediction models for distinguishing between benign and malignant adnexal masses. The study included 1431 patients from 21 Italian centers, both oncological and non-oncological. The results showed that the two-step strategy with or without CA125, ADNEX with or without CA125, and SRRisk had similar performance in distinguishing between benign and malignant adnexal tumors, regardless of the expertise of the ultrasound operators. The study provides valuable insights for clinicians and researchers in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. [Extracted from the article] |
