A study conducted by Wake Forest University School of Medicine has provided new insights into biomarkers related to infertility. The research focused on the generation of haploid germ cells from human XY and XXY immature testes in a 3D organoid system. The study aimed to develop fertility therapies for adult survivors of childhood cancer and prepubertal patients with Klinefelter syndrome. The researchers successfully generated 3D human testicular organoids that supported androgen production and germ cell differentiation in vitro. This research has implications for the development of diagnostic and screening tools in the field of health and medicine. [Extracted from the article] |
