This article presents the findings of a study on the impact of the COVID-19 lockdown on healthcare access, food affordability, and family income in a resource-limited setting in Kano, Nigeria. The study found that the lockdown had a negative effect on these factors, with many respondents reporting difficulties accessing healthcare services, affording food, and experiencing reduced family income. The study suggests the need for investments in telemedicine services and social assistance programs to address these challenges. However, the study acknowledges limitations and calls for further research to improve future planning and distribution of government assistance. [Extracted from the article] |
