This work suggests a coordinated control of Multi band power system stabilizer (MBPSS) and type 2 fuzzy logic control (T2FLC) lead lag Static synchronous series compensator (SSSC) for power system stability enhancement. Initially hybrid AVOA-PS optimized design of coordinated control of PSS and T2FLC lead lag SSSC controller is compared for best performances of transient stability improvement with AVOA, PS and PSO based same coordinated control and test model of SMIB power system. The demonstration of hybrid AVOA-PS algorithm based coordinated control of T2FLC lead lag controller the percentage of reduction in ITAE value compared to AVOA, PS and PSO optimization techniques are 28.71, 54.02 and 64.33% respectively. The next stages it is demonstrated that coordinated control of hAVOA-PS optimized design of MBPSS and T2FLC lead lag controller is compared with coordinated control of PSS and T2FLC lead lag controller and PSS with lead lag SSSC damping controller of same test model under different operating condition of synchronous generator and the location of fault condition of the system. Lastly to check the effectiveness and robustness analysis of transient stability improvement it is further extended to three machine 9-bus power system test model. It is demonstrated in hAVOA-PS optimized design of MBPSS and T2FLC lead lag SSSC damping controller system responses improved better damping of oscillation as compared with coordinated control of PSS and T2FLC lead lag controller of power system test model under three different contingencies of the system.
