The results of studies of the corrosion resistance of aircraft-grade aluminum alloys after two years of exposure to the coastal atmosphere of the moderately warm climate of Gelendzhik and the tropical climate of Wanning (Hainan Island, China) are presented. It is shown that the corrosive aggressiveness of the Gelendzhik atmosphere due to the location of the test beds in close proximity to the coastline and the more active influence of marine chlorides and sulfates is comparable to the corrosive aggressiveness of a tropical station. The emerging corrosion damage does not affect the tensile strength and yield strength of the materials under study, but reduce the relative uniform elongation of some of the studied alloys.
