A systematic review conducted by investigators at Washington University examined the conceptualization, measurement, and factors associated with participation in Parkinson's disease (PD). The review found that less than half of the included articles explicitly defined participation, and there were inconsistencies in the conceptualization and measurement of participation across studies. The review also highlighted the need for future research to investigate satisfaction with participation, examine the effect of environmental factors on participation, and include longitudinal studies to better understand participation in individuals with PD. This research provides valuable insights into the understanding of participation in PD and identifies areas for further investigation. [Extracted from the article] |
