Abstrakt: Modern standards of digital terrestrial broadcasting allow for more efficient use of the frequency resource, they provide multimedia, scalability and flexibility of the network, support for wireless receivers, local channels, and different time modes of content delivery. Digitalization of the existing network reduces energy consumption by times by television transmitters, positively affecting the environment, which corresponds to the current trends of reducing the carbon footprint including the consequences of the introduction of modern radio broadcasting technologies. The purpose of the present work is to calculate the signals of the radio relay station of a digital terrestrial television broadcasting network for the modernization of the network in the Naryn region of the Kyrgyz Republic. The method of predicting the propagation of radio waves based on statistical analysis and experimental data, and methods of determining electromagnetic compatibility in the design of digital terrestrial television broadcasting networks are used for calculations. Calculations of the service area of digital television transmitters; calculation of energy indices of useful and interfering signals, minimum median field strength of radio relay station Ala-Myshyk, efficiency of radiated power, interpolation of field strength as a function of distance for the lower and upper frequencies are made. Recommendations on the application of the method of propagation prediction in determining the full-service area of digital television transmitters considering the terrain are given. The technical and economic indicators are calculated: the number of equipment for the stations of the modernized network is determined, the total cost of acquisition, transportation and installation of new equipment, and the annual consumption of electricity consumed by digital television transmitters is calculated. The result and methodology of calculations were applied to other stations of the network in Naryn oblast of Kyrgyzstan for its modernization and they can be used for cases of modernization of the broadcasting network in mountainous areas.
