A new report from North Sichuan Medical College in China explores the association between red blood cell distribution width (RDW) and coronary heart disease in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis. The study found a positive association between RDW and coronary heart disease in this population, even after adjusting for various factors. Subgroup analysis revealed a stronger association in certain groups, such as individuals aged 55-66 years, males, and the Hispanic White population with diabetes or hypercholesterolemia. This research suggests a significant correlation between RDW and coronary heart disease in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis. [Extracted from the article] |
