Abstrakt: The article discusses several scientific studies published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America. One study focuses on the play behavior and reproductive success of wild dolphins, finding that juvenile male dolphins engage in immature versions of adult-like reproductive behaviors. Another study presents a method for the efficient and reproducible production of retinal organoids derived from human pluripotent stem cells, which can be used for disease modeling and drug testing. Additional studies explore sex-dependent differences in cold sensing, the relationship between climate change and plant growth on the Tibetan Plateau, and the quenching of Jupiter's strong surface winds. Finally, a study examines the interstate effects of renewable electricity policies, finding that the stringency of a neighboring state's policy strongly influences the amount of renewable electricity produced by a given state.
