A study conducted at Silchar Medical College and Hospital in Assam, India, aimed to analyze and compare the characteristics of invasive breast cancer based on the expression of Estrogen Receptor (ER), Progesterone Receptor (PR), and Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (Her2/neu). The study found that the Luminal A subtype was the most common hormonal subtype, followed by the basal subtype. Most patients had stage-I tumors and ductal type carcinoma. The study concluded that Immunohistochemistry (IHC) classification provides important prognostic and therapeutic information for breast cancer treatment. [Extracted from the article] |
