Our study was performed on 238 cases using dissection, plastic mass injection, and CT urograms as study methods. We found that the number of major calyces ranged from 2-6. In 88 cases (36.97% of cases) there were 2 major calyces, on the right side there were 37 cases, and 51 cases were on the left. With 3 calyxes we found 108 cases, 43 cases being on the right and 65 cases being on the left. In 32 cases we encountered 4 calyxes, 21 cases being on the right and 11 cases being on the left. In 6 cases we found 5 calyxes, 2 cases on the right and 4 cases on the left. 6 calyxes were encountered in 4 cases, 2 cases being on the right and 2 cases being on the left. The superior major calyx was found to be between 8.0-28.0 mm long and 3.0-9.1 mm wide. The middle major calyxes were found to be 1.5-19.0 mm long and 2.1-15.2 mm wide. The inferior major calyx was 2.3-25.0 mm long, with a width of 2.5-13.0 mm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
