Human resource management practices that have unfavorable and negative outcomes in the hotel business, leading to an increase in employee turnover intention, are discussed at length in this study paper. Human resources management plays an effective part in solving the problem of the high rate of planned employee turnover in Malaysian hospitality business. Information included in the study came from secondary data through a wide variety of publications covering topics including human resource management and employee turnover. The literature has revealed how human resource management is related to turnover intention in the hospitality sector. Future researchers can use the insights gained from this study to better understand the unfolding patterns and skill gap analyses in human resource practices necessary to counteract the turnover intention in the industry. This paper discusses the human resource management practices of compensation, performance appraisal, training, recognition, information sharing and competence development and its impact on employee turnover. This study presents the results of previous studies on the topic in order to provide expanded recommendations. Practitioners can use the findings of this study to inform their own efforts to reduce turnover with confidence. Not much research has been done on this possibility in the Malaysian region.
