Abstrakt: This article discusses a study conducted in Tamil Nadu, India, on the water use efficiency and productivity of aerobic rice under a drip irrigation and fertigation system. The study found that using drip irrigation at 120% pan evaporation (PE) with fertigation of 100% recommended doses of fertilizer (RDF) resulted in the highest grain yield and water use efficiency. The study also found that maintaining 50% available soil moisture through daily soil water balance increased water use efficiency and productivity. The findings suggest that the combination of drip irrigation and fertigation can enhance the productivity of aerobic rice cultivation. [Extracted from the article]
