A recent study conducted by researchers from Gazi University aimed to assess the awareness, knowledge, and attitudes towards sustainable nutrition in different age groups. The study involved 3,498 volunteers between the ages of 18-95 and found that women, urban dwellers, and individuals in the 18-24 age group had higher awareness of sustainable nutrition. However, nearly half of individuals aged 65 and above had no knowledge of sustainable nutrition practices. The study also revealed that only 6% of participants were familiar with the concept of food miles, while the most recognized concept was the carbon footprint. The researchers concluded that attitudes towards sustainable nutrition varied based on gender, age, and region of residence. [Extracted from the article] |
