Ship capsizing is much caused by related to the ship roll motion. This study aims to analyze variation of the hull form of fishing vessel that refers to international safety standard and investigate the effect of the ship roll motion of fishing vessel caused by adding PVC pipes tank. Then, fishing hull model is generated using variation of 3(three) PVC pipes model and creating 3(three) models of PVC pipes tank as passive tank stabilizer. Fishing vessels roll motion result is obtained by the ship with adding passive tank. The results show that the fishing vessel uses passive tanks are able to reduce damping of roll motion. Flat type was able to reduce moment damping to 4.40%, U-type can reduce moment damping significantly to 8.10%, and V-type could reduce roll moment to 15.28%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
