A new study conducted by researchers at Nara Medical University in Japan explores the use of magnetic resonance (MR) relaxometry to distinguish between benign and malignant ovarian cystic tumors. The study found that MR relaxometry showed good accuracy in discriminating endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer (EAOC) from ovarian endometrioma (OE). The researchers collected data from 81 patients and concluded that MR relaxometry is an effective tool for distinguishing EAOC from OE, which could provide valuable insights for clinical practice. The study was published in the journal Diagnostics. [Extracted from the article] |
