Abstrakt: A recent study conducted in Kerala, India, examined the incidence and risk factors of methotrexate (MTX)-induced neurotoxicity in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and lymphomas (LBL). The study found that older age, CNS leukaemic involvement, and induction tumour lysis were associated with an increased risk of MTX-induced neurotoxicity. However, the majority of cases were transient, and re-challenge with MTX was generally safe. These findings provide valuable insights into the management and treatment of MTX-induced neurotoxicity in pediatric ALL/LBL patients. [Extracted from the article]
