Abstrakt: The study aimed to investigate the clinical efficacy of a gentle cleansing clay mask on the oily sensitive skin. A total of 32 female subjects with oily sensitive skin were recruited to study the effects of single use of the clay mask on the sebum content, porphyrin quantity and cuticle water content, as well as the effects of long-term use of the clay mask on facial acne, skin texture and barrier function, combined with non-invasive instrument detection, expert clinical assessment and subject self-assessment. Compared with the blank split-face control, after a single use of the clay mask for 15 min, the content of sebum and porphyrin in the facial skin of the subjects was significantly reduced, while the cuticle water content was significantly increased. After 4 weeks of continuous use of the clay mask, the number of blackheads and whiteheads, skin roughness, scale and wrinkle degree were significantly reduced, but there was no significant change in transdermal water loss. No skin adverse reactions occurred during the whole experiment, and more than 90% of the subjects thought that the use of the sample was mild and did not irritate the skin. The cleaning clay mask has good cleaning, moisturizing, oil controlling, comedones removing, exfoliating and other functions on oily sensitive skin. At the same time, the formula is mild, non-irritating, moisturizing, and long-term use does not damage the skin barrier. It is suitable for sensitive skin. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
