Abstrakt: This article discusses the use of a prototype pulsatile mechanical circulatory support system for the treatment of severe isolated right heart failure (RHF) in a large animal study. The study found that the novel device was able to improve hemodynamics in a porcine model, with the device providing an output directly proportional to the pump rate. However, further investigation is needed before the device can be used in human studies. [Extracted from the article]
