A regional innovation ecosystem represents a set of four actors working towards the development of innovative initiatives. Based on this, the Government of Rio Grande do Sul State developed the Inova RS Program, involving eight regions, one of them being the Metropolitan Region and the North Coast. This region seeks to be a global reference for innovation through a smart specialisation strategy based on several areas, one of which is Health. Therefore, to serve this area, the "Project - RS: Digital Health" was developed to foster the development of innovative and digital solutions centred on the citizen. To this end, actions were carried out such as the mapping of the health innovation ecosystem, the training of health professionals and students, technology professionals, managers, and citizens in digital health, as well as the promotion of the development and application of businesses in the health area in the MRNC.
