A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Milan aimed to investigate the risk of eating disorders among Italian secondary school students. The study utilized a screening tool called the Inside Out Institute Screener (IOI-S) to identify high-risk individuals. The results showed that 24.85% of the students were found to be at a 'very high risk' of an eating disorder. The study concluded that there is a need for adequate screening for eating disorders in Italian youth, and the IOI-S was confirmed as a valid and reliable tool for this purpose.
