A recent study conducted by researchers at Saglik Bilimleri Universitesi aimed to determine the presence of hemorrhoids in pregnancy and evaluate the relationship between hemorrhoids and various anthropometric and musculoskeletal parameters. The study included 268 pregnant women in different trimesters and found that waist circumference, bi-iliac width, rectus abdominis muscle strength, Diastasis-recti-abdominis grade, hypermobility score, and parity were important risk factors for the presence of hemorrhoids in pregnancy. This study is the first to comprehensively evaluate hemorrhoids and associated risk factors in pregnancy. Further information on this research can be found in the Turk Fizyoterapi ve Rehabilitasyon Dergisi journal article. [Extracted from the article] |
