Abstrakt: A study conducted by researchers at the University of Johannesburg examined the morphological, cardiovascular, and neuromuscular profiles of sedentary men who performed the Islamic prayer (Salaah). The study found that these individuals had reasonably healthy measurements in terms of body mass index, body fat percentage, resting heart rate, resting systolic and diastolic blood pressure, manual muscle strength, and maximum voluntary contraction. The study also observed electromyographic activity in the vastus medialis oblique muscle during the prayer. This research provides preliminary evidence of the muscle activity involved in performing the Salaah. [Extracted from the article]
