This article presents the findings of a study conducted in Eastern India on the correlation between bone marrow cytology, imprint, and biopsy in cases of pancytopenia. The study analyzed 121 cases and found that there was a high correlation between bone marrow aspirate and biopsy, as well as between bone marrow imprint and biopsy. The most common diagnosis in these cases was aplastic anemia, followed by acute leukemia. The study concludes that performing bone marrow aspirate, imprint, and biopsy together can lead to a high rate of diagnostic accuracy. [Extracted from the article] |
