Abstrakt: The Minds in Motion® (MiM) program is a program created by the Alzheimer Society for individuals with dementia, or care recipients (CRs), and their caregivers (CGs) consisting of physical activity, social connection, and mentally stimulating activity. However, the evaluation on the program is limited. This case study of CRs and CGs investigated their lived experiences within the MiM program and the effects of the program. Findings demonstrated the main benefit of the MiM program is the social connection provided to both CRs and CGs. Although not the primary focus of the study, feelings of disconnect were found to be salient among participants. These findings have limited generalizability but can assist in enhancing the program.
