Abstrakt: This article, published in the journal Endoscopy, discusses a rare case of polypoid ganglioneuroma in the colon. Ganglioneuromas are benign tumors of the sympathetic nervous system, and while they are often associated with genetic syndromes, the polypoid subtype is an exception. The case presented involves a 68-year-old patient with no relevant medical history who had a colonoscopy to investigate anemia. During the procedure, several polyps were removed, including a 5 mm sessile polyp that was found to be a ganglioneuroma upon histological analysis. The article concludes that solitary ganglioneuromas can be safely removed using endoscopic procedures, as they rarely have complications or recurrence. [Extracted from the article]
