Abstrakt: This article compares the most effective sequence for performing gastroscopy and colonoscopy in the same session. The study analyzed data from 2049 procedures performed between 2015 and 2019 at a hospital in Madrid, Spain. The results showed that performing gastroscopy first followed by colonoscopy reduced the total dose of medication and exploration time. There were no significant differences in the number of complications reported between the two sequences. However, it is important to note that this study had limitations, including its retrospective nature and the lack of randomization of patients to different sequences. [Extracted from the article]
