Abstrakt: This article, published in the Arab Journal of Interventional Radiology, compares the immediate and long-term results of endovascular and hybrid treatment for patients with aortic arch pathology. The study included 137 patients who underwent surgical treatment at the Almazov National Medical Research Centre. The results showed that both treatment methods had a 100% technical success rate and no statistically significant differences in survival, neurological complications, respiratory disorders, kidney damage, or early and late endoleaks. However, there was a significant difference in the incidence of cardiovascular complications and late reinterventions, with the hybrid treatment group experiencing fewer complications. The authors conclude that aortic arch endoprothesis with intraoperative fenestration is a safe and effective treatment option for high-risk patients with aortic arch pathology.
