Abstrakt: The article discusses the variability in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) education and credentialing practices worldwide. The authors conducted a survey to examine the differences in education and credentialing practices among various ECMO centers. The study found that educational offerings such as simulations, clinical protocols, and quality-improvement initiatives were considered more important than research and attendance at conferences. The article highlights the need for standardized ECMO education and credentialing processes to establish a minimum standard for competency. It also emphasizes the importance of future research to determine the impact of standardized education on clinical outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
