Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of South China explores the role of the mitochondrial protein NDUFAF6 in breast cancer. The study analyzed breast cancer samples from various databases and experimental models, finding that NDUFAF6 is overexpressed in breast cancer patients and correlates with worse clinical features and prognosis. The protein is implicated in immune-related pathways and promotes PD-L1 expression by inhibiting the NRF2 signaling pathway. The study suggests that NDUFAF6 could serve as a potential prognostic biomarker and a target for immunotherapy in breast cancer. [Extracted from the article]
