Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers from Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences in Iran examined the challenges of using accompanying midwives (doulas) from the perspective of midwives and pregnant women in selected hospitals. The study involved 70 midwives, 120 pregnant women, and 20 trained attendants. The findings revealed that many pregnant women sought doula services to overcome the fear of childbirth, and most of them found the services useful and effective. However, there were dissatisfactions and challenges regarding the support provided by doulas. The researchers recommended providing necessary training to healthcare providers and integrating doula activities into the care of the health team. [Extracted from the article]
