Abstrakt: This article discusses a study conducted in a hospital in Assam, India, which examined the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of medical students regarding rational antibiotic use and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The study found that while most participants had adequate knowledge about antibiotic use, there were some misconceptions about their effectiveness against viral infections and the contribution of antibiotic use in animals and agriculture to AMR. The study also found that self-medication with antibiotics was common among medical students. The findings highlight the need for improved education and interventions to promote rational antibiotic use among medical students, although the study's limitations should be considered.
