This article discusses a case study of a 33-year-old woman with deep infiltrating endometriosis and rectal infiltration who desired to conceive in the future. The patient experienced chronic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia, and dyschezia. After conservative treatment with hormonotherapy failed to improve symptoms, a laparoscopic approach was performed by a multidisciplinary team of surgeons. The patient underwent rectal resection and excision of endometriotic nodules, resulting in an uneventful postoperative recovery and improvement in pain and quality of life. The article emphasizes the complexity of laparoscopic rectal resection and the importance of a multidisciplinary team for a safe procedure. [Extracted from the article] |
