Abstrakt: This document provides a summary of various studies on the neurological side effects associated with targeted therapy (TT) for melanoma. The studies found that neurological adverse events (NAE) were reported in patients receiving TT, particularly those who had previously received immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI). The NAE observed included conditions such as polyradiculoneuritis, encephalitis/meningoencephalitis, peripheral facial palsy, and sensory-motor axonal polyneuropathy. Treatment for NAE varied, with some patients receiving symptomatic treatment alone, while others received intravenous immunoglobulins or steroids. Most cases of NAE completely recovered or improved after treatment discontinuation. The studies emphasize the importance of accurate diagnosis and management of NAE to minimize long-term effects.
