A recent study conducted by researchers at the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) in Gujrat, Pakistan compared the quality of life among adolescents with and without diabetes. The study included 29 adolescents with diabetes and 356 healthy adolescents as controls. The researchers found that the quality of life scores were significantly lower among the adolescents with diabetes compared to the healthy adolescents. Age was also found to be a negative factor for the quality of life parameters among adolescents with diabetes. This study provides valuable insights into the impact of diabetes on the quality of life of adolescents in Pakistan. [Extracted from the article] |
