Abstrakt: This article discusses the implementation of a Lean Six Sigma Clinical Care Pathway (CCP) for endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal operations. The CCP was developed using quality improvement principles and aimed to improve the efficacy and quality of care for patients undergoing these surgeries. The study found that the implementation of the CCP resulted in a significant decrease in postoperative length of stay (LOS) and hospital costs, without increasing the rates of postoperative emergency department presentations or readmissions. These findings suggest that the CCP can improve outcomes and resource utilization in pituitary surgery. [Extracted from the article]
