A recent study conducted by the Office for National Statistics in the United Kingdom has found that a significant number of cases of hypertension, or high blood pressure, go undiagnosed. The study used data from the Health Survey for England from 2015 to 2019 and found that approximately 30.7% of men and 27.6% of women with hypertension were undiagnosed. The study also identified certain groups, such as those with lower BMI and better self-reported general health, as being more likely to have undiagnosed hypertension. The researchers suggest that there is a need for greater awareness and screening for hypertension, even among those considered to be at low risk. [Extracted from the article] |
