The article presents a study which examined the bias from differential depletion of susceptibles in vaccine effectiveness estimates in settings of waning. Topics discussed include simulation of an outbreak of a pathogen with SARS-CoV-2 characteristics, the occurrence of spurious waning under settings of true waning, and a potential area for future research. |
