Abstrakt: The decision support system is an interactive information system in which there is a manipulation of data, information, and modeling. The system is built with a combination of Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods and aims to aid in the decision-making of the many alternative options. MCDM is a decision-making method with several criteria. This research combines two MCDM methods, namely the Method Based on the Removal Effect of Criteria (MEREC) and the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method in determining the best stocks from eight service companies. The criteria that were used to determine the best stocks are financial ratios, including Current Ratio (CR), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return On Assets (ROA), Return On Equity (ROE), Debt to Assets Ratio (DAR), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). Weighting the criteria using MEREC shows that CR is the financial ratio that most affects the valuation of shares. The results of the MEREC-SAW in the data show that shares of Surya Citra Media Tbk. (SCMA) are the best stocks and are recommended as the top priority in investing. In addition, the results of MEREC-SAW have a level of consistency, which is 75%. As a result, the stock recommendations that have been obtained can be used in the future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
