Abstrakt: Coal is the world's primary energy source. It is also known as the highest contributor to the carbon dioxide (CO2) emission. Thus, any effort in reducing the coal consumption would benefit the environment. The so-called fossil-fuel capitalism and energy mix of coal with less CO2-emitts energy source is essential. This study aims to review process of mixing, economic analysis and environmental concern of bamboo-coal blend. The ideal ratio was said to be 80% coal and 20% torrefied bamboo. Carbonization at 400°C for 30 minutes was a useful operating condition for increasing the quality and reducing wasted energy in bamboo. This study would promote the practice of utilizing bamboo as an energy aid driver for power plants to minimize CO2 emissions from coal combustion and to expand biomass-to-energy capacity while also benefiting the economy, environment, and society.
