A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) explored the relationship between cutaneous adverse effects (CAEs) and noncutaneous adverse effects (NCAEs) in patients with advanced melanoma receiving immunotherapy. The study found that patients who experienced CAEs were more likely to develop NCAEs. Early identification and treatment of NCAEs may help reduce symptom burden and hospitalizations associated with these adverse effects. However, it is important to note that the study had a small sample size, and larger prospective studies are needed to confirm these findings. [Extracted from the article] |
