The policy issue of Admission of New Students (PPDB) based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture (Permendikbud) No. 44 of 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic caused public unrest, especially for those who would enter sons/daughters into the junior high and high school level in DKI Jakarta. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and improve the acceptance policies of new students so that this policy is no longer unsettling and acceptable to the public. This study uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The results of this study are the first, admission of new student policy formulation is less socialized to the community. Second, the implementation of PPDB policy is the substance of the articles contrary to Permendikbud policy. Third, the momentum of PPDB criteria based on age is not right in the COVID-19 pandemic. Fourth, PPDB policy evaluation requires policy synchronization between Permendikbud and Gubernur DKI Jakarta. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
