Abstrakt: A study conducted by Babol University of Medical Sciences in Iran has reported on a case of mucormycosis, a fungal infection, in a 73-year-old female patient who was also infected with the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The patient did not respond well to antifungal treatment, and it was discovered during bronchoscopy that a foreign body was causing her symptoms. The presence of the foreign body may have influenced the suboptimal therapeutic outcome. The case presented atypical imaging findings, making the diagnosis more challenging. Further research is needed to better understand the complications associated with COVID-19. [Extracted from the article]
