This article presents the findings of a study on the publication rates of medical postgraduate dissertations. The study found that only 20.27% of the dissertations submitted to the Institutional Ethics Committee between 2016 and 2018 were published. The study also examined the characteristics of the published dissertations, such as the specialty of the students, study design, and journals of publication. The article suggests that there is a need to improve research experience and provide more resources for publishing among postgraduate students. It recommends measures such as improving publication laws, infrastructure, financial possibilities, and involving academic staff in mentoring programs to increase publication rates.
