A systematic review conducted by investigators from Southern Methodist University examined the pathways through care for youths from ethnically and racially minoritized groups who experience early psychosis. The review analyzed service utilization and outcomes among these youths and identified potential moderating variables at the clinic, family, and cultural levels. The study found that being from an ethnoracially minoritized group appeared to affect care utilization and outcomes, and highlighted the need for further research and funding in this area. The research was supported by various organizations and has been published in Psychiatric Services. [Extracted from the article] |
