The article focuses on various celestial bodies in the solar system that are suspected to have subsurface oceans, including Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, Pluto, Ceres, Triton, Mimas, Dione, Enceladus and Titan. It discusses these underground oceans are believed to be maintained by different mechanisms such as tidal flexing, gravitational interactions and radioactive decay; and their existence raises intriguing questions about the potential for extraterrestrial life, as they contain liquid water. |
