Third, all the Central Asian states have recently expressed, through their foreign ministers, support for Azerbaijan's position in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by not recognizing the elections there. First, this was the first meeting between the Central Asian presidents after the deadly border conflict between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan a year ago, which left nearly 100 dead, mostly on the Kyrgyz side.
