A patent application titled "Dual Function Balloon Catheter For Crossing A Lesion And Performing Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty" has been published online. The inventors propose an apparatus for crossing a lesion in a blood vessel and performing percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) on the lesion using a single catheter.
